My goal is to help dog owners better understand their canine companions, and how to communicate with them better through positive re-enforcement training. I want to help educate owners on how their minds work based on the science of how dogs learn, understand what you want from them and how to communicate to them what you expect of them through positive re-enforcement training. Positive re-enforcement training is rewards based training. I will help you learn how to socialize your dog, exercise your dog, and train your dog for his/her and your best possible happiness as a companion dog with positive rewards based methods. I want to teach owners there is a kinder and gentler way to train dogs without the old fashion ways of the past with choke collars, prong collars and shock collars. A well trained dog is a happy and calm dog, an exercised dog is a well behaved dog, a mental stimulated dog is a happy dog which equals a happy owner! Puppy Kindergarten For Puppies 8 to 18 weeks old. Puppies learn the most from 3 weeks to 13 weeks of age; so starting your puppy early will give him/her the best advantage to grow in to a social and loving member of the family. Intermediate Manners For graduates of Elementary Manners. This class will cover fine-tuning your skills learned in elementary manners and add more advance training for you and your dog. This class is 6 weeks, maximum of 6 to ensure individual time with each student. Out On The Town For graduates of Intermediate Manners. This class is for dog owners who like to take their dogs out in public with them to dog friendly towns, out door restaurants, walks in the neighborhood, parks and walking malls. We will work on polite people greetings, passing other dogs who might not be so friendly, children running up to pet your dog, passing strollers, passing bicyclist, passing skate boarders, joggers and ect. You will encounter real life situations and learn how to best deal with them while keeping you and your dog safe. Private Training In home training at your home, or at locations such as parks.
