Welcome to Curiosity Dog Training, LLC! Meet your trainer, Melissa Kolmar, CBCC-KA, CPDT-KA, SBA, CNWI. She is a Certified Behavior Consultant Canine-Knowledge Assessed (CBCC-KA), Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT–KA) as well as an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. She is also accredited by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) as a Shelter Behavior Affiliate (SBA). She is also an Associate Nose Work Instructor (ANWI) through the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW). Melissa regularly works with dogs of all ages, breeds, and experience, as well as those exhibiting fear, aggression, anxiety and reactivity. She uses positive reinforcement and applied behavior analysis in her training. Melissa is a member of the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW), Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC). She is also Pet First Aid/CPR certified. Melissa believes training is about building a strong and trusting relationship with your dog, as well as learning to communicate better with him or her.
