When Wendy was 12 years old, she received her first dog a miniature poodle named "Bebe". She started obedience training with a renowned dog trainer, Marly Whiting from Canine College in Minneapolis. At the age of 15, she and Bebe earned their American Kennel Club, Obedience Title "Companion Dog". She was the only child among all adults competing. Before becoming a professional dog trainer in 2007, Wendy was the Marketing Director for VCA Animal Hospitals. There she designed the Animal Shelter Program and visited over 80 animal shelters. Seeing the plight of these shelter dogs and learning behavioral issues contribute to these dogs being relinquished, she saw the need to become a dog behavior therapist and trainer.
