Patrick is the lead trainer for Pawsitive Furkids. Having grown up with dogs all his life, Patrick, together with his wife Veronica, embarked on their dog training career after adopting Obed Blessing, their Singapore Special, in 2012. After obtaining his AVS (formerly AVA) accreditation, Patrick started researching on other ways of training shy and skittish dogs. He observed that these dogs did not respond well to such aversive training methods and that they instead became more fearful. With the guidance of his mentor, Peggy O. Swager, an animal behavioural specialist and professional dog trainer with over 20 years of experience as well as author of dog training books, Patrick began practicing behavioural modification techniques on some of the shelter dogs at Mercylight Limited where he volunteers at. Having found his passion in training dogs, Patrick is all geared up to make dog training fun and effective for humans as well as their furkids and is now Low Stress Handling® Silver Certified.
