Training Equipment: Flat coller, head halter, body harness, clicker or other event marker, agility equipment, lure coursing equipment, flirt pole, tug toys, tasty treats.

 

Training Philosophy: Reward the behaviors we like, ignore those we don't. We use positive reinforcement to encourage behaviors we want repeated. The dog becomes a happy, creative, intelligent learner. Emphasis is on fun.

 

Locations Served: Southern Tier and Central New York, Northern Tier of Pennsylvania, Finger Lakes Region of New York. Lure coursing events can be arranged within a 3 hour drive of Binghamton NY.

 

I am a Certified Training Partner of the Karen Pryor Academy (KPA CTP) and graduated with distinction from the Dog Trainer Program in 2009 . I use a clicker (or other event marker) to train new behaviors and solve behaviorial issues. I encourage people to have fun when training their dog. I also offer lure coursing to all dogs. This is a sport originally designed for sighthounds, but we have found that many other dogs enjoy the sport too. A plastic bag is attached to a line that is attached to a motor that pulls the bag around a field - with the dog in hot pursuit.
