My goal in life was always to make a difference in the world and to change people's lives. Yet my passion was to work with animals. I now feel more than lucky to be able to combine my passion and goal together through training. I am a recent graduate of UNH with two degrees: A BA in psychology with a focus on animal cognition, and an Associates in Animal Science. I am a certified professional dog trainer (CPDT), a CGC evaluator for the American Kennel Club, and I have obtained a CAP1 which is a clicker competency assessment. I was a veterinary technician for 4 years and I am currently the Director of the Behavior Department for the NH Humane Society. I'm an official member of the association of pet dog trainers (APDT). I have helped to train dogs for CCI - which is an organization that raises and trains service dogs for people with disabilities. Because I am trying to get more involved in the NH community I am on the board of directors for Happy Tails Dog Park of the Lakes region. I do own a bit of a zoo myself! I currently own 2 dogs, and a Vietnamese Potbelly Pig. I continue to learn something new from each dog and am convinced that I will never stop learning!
