I have a personal passion and mission to help people learn to live successfully with their family dogs. I wish to bring a better understanding of how dogs learn to each family I work with. I hope to give our canine companions the best opportunity to have a happy and stress free life with their human families. I love to share the joy that a well trained easy going dog can bring to any environment. Along with training dogs and people, I spent several years as a competitor and Development Team Coach for the United States Shooting team. I worked closely with both Olympic competitors and coaches along with the sports psychology staff. As the development team coach I conducted coaching clinics at the Olympic training center and traveled to different states to give workshops and seminars to 4H clubs and other organizations. I traveled overseas with the Junior Olympic Team to the World Championships in Finland as well as several trips to Germany for top level European competitions. I participated in coaching seminars presented by the Army Marksmanship Unit and other top coaches and Olympic sports psychologists in the country. I also became a part of the National Coaches Development Staff and I hold top level coaching certification through the Olympic Shooting program. This experience and the caliber of people I was able to work with has enhanced my ability to communicate effectively and create a learning environment in which my families feel comfortable and encouraged. The ability to change the complex family environment to help their dogs develop as great companions is our mission together. I love teaching and feel a deep sense of accomplishment when my “families” and their dogs begin to relax and communicate.
