I offer private lessons for dogs and am also able to run group classes. I have worked in several Broadway shows handling a wider range of critters including rats, kittens and snakes!

Training Equipment: I prefer to work with harnesses, but can work with a basic collar as well. In the case of a dog with a bite history, I would use a muzzle. I also use a long lead for recall work in the park.

 

Training Philosophy: I want to help people build a working relationship with their pet by rewarding behavior you want to continue, and ignoring or modifying behavior that you want to stop. I do NOT believe in using dominance or aversive conditioning while training.

 

Locations Served: I live in Brooklyn, but am able to service owners in any of New York City's 5 boroughs.

 

I have worked with dogs in NYC the past 7 years and have learned that it can be a tricky place to raise an animal. It takes a lot of work to prepare an animal for all of the loud sounds of a bustling city. I have found that the best results come from owners that are active in forming a routine to help set their pups up for success. I am a CPDT-KA certified trainer, and believe in staying up to date on new techniques in training. I am happy to work hard to find a routine that works for the whole team. Training should be a fun for both the human and the dog!
