Aubrey is a Starmark Academy graduate who has been training dogs since her high school days. She started training service and therapy dogs, then decided to turn dog training into her full time career. The challenge of helping a family understand their dog and creating happy, healthy relationships is what she lives for. As well as being an active member of The Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), she is also very active in San Antonio’s dog community. She volunteers for Animal Care Services as a trainer in an effort to make their homeless pups more adoptable, and she volunteers for a private dog training program. Training Equipment: The training equipment I use varies greatly depending on the dog's training needs, so I use everything from slip leads to ecollars. And because training should always be fun I also use a clicker, lots of yummy food, and even more praise!

 

Training Philosophy: My goal is to cultivate a positive learning environment for both dogs and handlers, with the use of balanced training methods. Wrong decisions on the dog's part result in clear feedback, and good decisions are reinforced with vigor!
