Training Equipment: I believe that there is not one tool for every dog. I use Gentle Leaders, SENSE-ation harnesses, martingale collars or nylon collars.

 

Training Philosophy: Building a harmonious relationship between dogs and their families through positive, ongoing and cooperative training. Diet, lifestyle and exercise are all important pieces of the relationship between families and their dog.

 

Locations Served: Serving the Oshkosh, WI and surrounding area since 2000. Appointments can be scheduled at your home or at my office in Oshkosh. A per-mile fee is charged for travel to in-home appointments.

 

Jody enjoys working with both people and dogs. She has been working full-time with dogs since 1992 and is Certified through the IAABC. Jody also earned a B.A. in psychology from Marquette University. Managing the Oshkosh Area Humane Society gave Jody invaluable hands on experience as well as the opportunity to work with dogs of different breeds, ages and with a variety of training challenges. She brings her years of experience with her as she works with her clients and their dogs. Pawsitive Directions offers classes, private training and behavior consultations so that you can choose what works best for your schedule and your lifestyle. Private appointments can be scheduled either in your home or at Jody's office in Oshkosh,WI. Classes are kept small (4-5 dogs) to maximize individual attention and to set your dog up for the highest level of success. Classes that are offered include Polite Puppy, Basic Manners, Basics and Beyond, Advanced Manners, Tricks& Games, Ultimate Recall, Jumping and Pulling Solutions and Sniffing Games. Jody enjoys working with and training her own dogs and has competed in agility, rally, obedience and K9 Nosework. She has 87 performance titles with her 2 current dogs, Cirrus and Maya. Cirrus and Maya are adopted German Shepherd Dogs.
