We believe in the physiological benefit of having a dog in our lives. Petting a dog releases good, de-stressing brain chemicals and we specialize in preparing your dog for all types of therapy work! Our AIR Therapy DOG: Paws for Minds is a 501c3 non-profit program that helps to train volunteers and their dogs to work with humans in support of their mental wellness. As a part of Attitudes In Reverse (AIR), AIR Therapy Dogs are a part of mental health and suicide prevention program in schools, from elementary through college-age level. Miki, my pomeranian, is my partner at work and in volunteering. He has earned his AKC Therapy Dog Title of Distinction, AKC Canine Good Citizen, AIR Therapy Dog Certification. He has been honored with the American Kennel Club Humane Fund Award for Canine Excellence (ACE) for his work as a therapy dog. Miki was honored at AKC Meet the Breeds in Nov. 2011. He received the AKC ACE at the Eukanuba National Championship in December of 2011, televised on ABC Network on Feb. 4, 2012.
