APDT Member Since 2017 Wiggles and Woofs Dog Training and Pet Care, LLC Jen both teaches group classes, online seminars, and private sessions for clients. She has a special place in her heart for rescue dogs. While she enjoys working with dogs and owners on a wide variety of basic manners and behavioral issues, Jen particularly enjoys helping fearful and reactive dogs. Certifications: CDBC Job Title: Owner Training Equipment: Harnesses, leashes, clickers (optional), treat bags, toys, treats. Training Philosophy: Jen's philosophy is that positive training methods are the safest and most effective way to work with animals. She uses ethical, science-based techniques. She does not use tools, or techniques that result in pain or fear in dogs. Locations Served: East side of greater Seattle metropolitan area (Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue, Mercer Island, and Woodinville, WA). Jen graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 2005. Through volunteering with Seattle Animal Shelter, Seattle Humane, and other organizations, she gained experience walking and training many sizes and breeds of dogs with a variety of needs. As a former science teacher, Jen is a National Board Certified Teacher with a Master of Science in Education. Jen's teaching style is unique reflects best practices for both human learning and canine learning and behavior. |
