Carolyn is one of a few Trainers in Louisiana to earn the Certified Professional Dog Training-Knowledge Assessed recognition. She is also a Certified Nose Work Instructor and has completed two of 3 courses through Peaceable Paws-Pat MIller, as she works on that certification. She is a CGC Trainer and Evaluator. Carolyn has been training dogs since 1983 after completing certification from K-9 Specialists. Over the years dog training techniques have changed to more positive training methods which are implemented in her training today. With the use of positive training methods, dogs and their owners reap the benefits of a happy working dog. Her experience includes group and private training, doing behavior assessments for the LA-SPCA, working with shelter dogs with several different behavior problems including but not limited to, shy/fearful dogs, aggression with other dogs, aggression with strangers, housebreaking issues, basic obedience and many others. Carolyn is also a certified assistant dog trainer for Paws With A Cause, working with dogs trained to help people with disabilities, hearing impairments and seizure disorders. Member of APDT.
