APDT Member Since 2012 Rachel Brix, BSEd, CPDT-KA is a veteran high school teacher who, inspired by her dog Percy, resigned to pursue a full time career with dogs. Rachel is both a certified behavior consultant canine (CBCC-KA) and a certified professional dog trainer (CPDT-KA) with over a decade of experience helping humans communicate better with their dogs for win-win scenarios. Rachel is a force free, fear free positive reinforcement trainer who is Fear Free certified (FFCP, Trainer). Rachel is also a member of Pet Professional Guild, whose members are rewards-based.
Rachel is also a freelance writer about dogs, writing for publications of APDT, PPG, Dogster magazine and others.
