Training Equipment: I use food rewards primarily but life rewards as well, depending on the issue that needs resolved. For walking equipment, I only front clip harnesses. I use clickers for some behaviors when the client is comfortable with their use.

 

Training Philosophy: My methods are based on solid scientifically proven modern training methodology. I use positive reinforcement rewards based methods relying heavily on food and other rewards to teach you to motivate your dog to make better decisions.

 

Locations Served: My service area includes all of Allegheny County as well as other surrounding counties up to 2 hours away from the city of Pittsburgh. There is small travel charge added to areas beyond a 30 minute one way drive . My basic service area is the city of Pittsburgh.

 

I utilize modern methods evidence based training methods. Operant and classical conditional rewards based behavior modification teaches you how to motivate your dog to make better decisions. I also teach you how to be a partner with your dog and teach them baseline environmentally cued default behaviors so that their "go to" behavior is the choice that you want! I do NOT use any intimidation based techniques or tools such as choke chains, prong collars or electronic training collars. I do not even use citronella or spray bottles. I will teach you how to teach your dog to do what you want rather than spend time correcting inappropriate behaviors, which results in a more solid behavior base learning.
