My undergraduate focus was in psychology and animal learning. I have done research and training with everything from cats and dogs to pigeons, chickens, and mice. Over twenty years ago I began to focus solely on canine behavior and started my company on the east coast of the US where I taught classes and worked privately with clients. Seventeen years ago I moved to Seattle and restarted my company where I now do presentations and teach veterinary staff about behavior, handling, and body language, as well as continue to work with private clients and their dogs. I deeply understand the foundation of behavior and how to modify it to help you and your dog(s) live a peaceful life together. Several years ago I began traveling to Asia each winter to observe and analyze street dog behavior and volunteer at dog sanctuaries there. Street dog behavior is raw and primal and I learn so much from them each time I travel. I bring this vast knowledge to my private clients to not only put a bandaid on a problem, but to teach you why it's happening to modify it, manage it, and affect meaningful change.
