Tail Wagging Fun Dog Training, Inc.

Positive reinforcement-based private lessons, clicker optional. Dogs of all ages welcome. I specialize - newly adopted shelter dogs; shy dogs e.g;, lack confidence; & impolite goofy dogs.

Certifications:

Training Equipment: Premier Easy Walk Harness, Premier Martingale collars, Premier Gentle Leader Head Collars, Scruffy Guider collars, standard snap or buckle collars & leads.

Training Philosophy: I'll tell you & your dog when you're on the right track using positive reinforcement for both of you; it feels great to know you're doing better; and not just hearing about it when you make a mistake. Try it!

Locations Served: Private in-home lessons. I'm not familiar enough with local cities to know their travel distance from me. I am willing to travel up to 40 miles or so round-trip.

I started teaching in 1996. Thanks to my former business partner who attended a Gary Wilkes/Karen Pryor seminar she was a convert. I only studied with her so I only had positive reinforcement techniques. I'm still enjoying every minute I spend with my students & their families & my own shelter/surrender/abandoned dogs I've adopted into my home. I love how much they all teach me & can't thank them enough for everything each has added to my life. My own dogs have been such a massive challenge to earn their trust. It still makes me cry when I see baby steps & they can lick something from my finger or they allow me to hold or pet them or even when they give me kisses (this refers to my dogs). For my students it gives me chills when the dog "gets it" & develops inhibition, starts to trust their newly adopted family & looks to them when unsure because that means they've started to bond with their family....what could be better?
