Splash Premier Pet Resort Over 30 years of experience in competitive obedience and behavior modification, applying a combination of scientifically proven methods to each client based on professional assessment and analysis Certifications: Training Equipment: We use a variety of guidance tools and rewards, selecting the appropriate options for each dog based on an individual assessment and consultation so that owners can continue the learning process. Training Philosophy: Our training program is based on the concept that a level of trust and respect between dog and handler is the foundation for a learning experience that is creative and fun, in order to help each dog reach his full potential and be a joy to live with Locations Served: Orange County, Los Angeles County and surrounding areas At Splash, we adhere to six principles of training:
1. Dog and trainer are partners in the learning process: just as the dog will learn from the trainer, the trainer should also learn from the dog.
2. Each dog learns at his own pace, and patience is paramount.
3. Trainers must always work to reduce stress and to develop a relationship with each dog that is based on mutual trust and respect.
4. Creativity and variety are essential in preventing boredom and disinterest.
5. Anger, impatience and frustration have no part in effective training.
6. Trainers should always “listen” to each dog: learn his physical and emotional language, and he will tell you how he will learn most effectively.
We have found great success in working with each client and dog as a team to solve behavioral issues before they escalate into serious problems. Our goal is for each dog we train to be a good ambassador for the Splash training program and to be a good citizen in his community. We also believe that positive training methods are most effective and provide long-lasting results, and we consult with clients regularly to ensure realistic goals and continuing education. Whether providing private sessions, in-house training or group classes, we work toward building lasting relationships between dog and handler and between Splash and clients.
