Training Equipment: Working with broad spectrum from puppies to behavior issues in older dogs/ rescues, I take approach of using whatever will most benefit individual dog and situation. No slip chains/choke collars.

 

Training Philosophy: Dog training with an emphasis on owner training to educate and build understanding about dogs in general, the particular breed, and the individual dog. Positive reinforcement/reward based.

I evaluate the entire picture of dog and owner/family as a major component of my approach to training. I offer a relationship-based commitment to my clients to help them now and in the future. I have an unusual amount of experience with dogs, as my grandfather was a trainer. Prior to concentrating wholly on training in 1995, I bred, trained, and exhibited champion German Shepherd Dogs for almost two decades. Having lived through a lifetime of dog involvement, I fully attest that today's available information on dog behavior and positive training makes every day and every dog an exciting adventure. In 2012 I began an online training program with downloads, books, blog, newsletters, and more, always emphasizing owner education.
