Ann became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KSA) in 2004 because she loves dogs and enjoys helping people. Ann’s training style focuses on listening to the dog and owner, and promoting relationships of mutual respect and trust between the dog and owner. She is a member of the APDT (Association of Professional Dog Trainers) and IAABC (International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants). From 2004-2010, Ann worked as a dog trainer at Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah, where she worked with caregivers and a population of 400 dogs, including dogs rescued from puppy mills, fighting rings, hoarding situations, abuse cases, and disaster areas, as well as the Michael Vick court-ordered dogs. She was also part of a television series called DogTown on National Geographic. From 2010-2013, Ann worked as the Special Programs Coordinator for the APDT (Association of Professional Dog Trainers). At the APDT, Ann helped develop and managed a training certificate program.
