Julie brings over 30 years of healthcare & nursing experience and a deep passion for fostering meaningful connections between dogs and their humans. Certified through Animal Behavior College (ABCDT), Julie specializes in canine first aid, CPR, and pet massage, blending her caregiving instincts with expert training techniques to nurture both physical and emotional well-being in dogs. As an evaluator for various AKC programs, including Canine Good Citizen and AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy, and a T/O (Tester/Observer) for the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Julie guides dogs and their humans toward achievements that strengthen trust and mutual understanding. Her approach emphasizes recognizing a dog’s natural needs and instincts, helping to fuel the bond through empathy, respect, and positive reinforcement. Julie is currently training her two dogs: Georgie, her 3-year-old CGC-certified English Mastiff, and Lil, her 1.5-year-old French Bulldog, while pursuing Family Dog Mediator credentials through Kim Brophey’s LEGS program. This ongoing education deepens her understanding of applied ethology and enhances her ability to support families in creating harmonious, fulfilling relationships with their dogs.
