I am a Colorado native that grew up in Arkansas. During undergraduate school, I participated in several marine mammal care and training internships where I developed my passion for the care of animals and operant conditioning training. After undergraduate school, I attended graduate school in Dania Beach, Florida, and earned a master’s degree in Marine Biology. During graduate school, I worked as a canine obedience instructor and my passion for training canines grew and grew.

After graduate school, I moved to the Washington DC area where I found myself working as a veterinary assistant for extra income while continuing my career as a canine obedience instructor. While working in the veterinary world, I found how my two paths overlapped in many ways and wanted to try and combine the two worlds. I also developed a love for the emergency and critical care field and soon started working toward my veterinary technician certification. Once I earned the title of certified veterinary technician, I began working in the field full time and used my background in behavior to aid in the care for my patients. I also started pet-sitting on the side for fellow co-workers, veterinarians, and clients. During this time, I began developing my business plan for what would be the best company model for me and the kind of company that I wanted to own one day. I have several current certifications and I am working towards many more to make sure my skills are constantly up to the highest standards and that I am always expanding my knowledge and learning new skills to keep competitive among all of the other pet-sitting and training companies in the area.
