Elise owns Pet Behavior Consulting which specializes in mentoring other trainers, consulting with animal care providers such as daycares, veterinary practices, boarding facilities and shelters, and occasionally taking on private clients seeking help with an aggressive or problematic pet. She is certified through the IAABC in the cat and dog divisions, through the AKC as a Canine Good Citizen evaluator, and the CCPDT as a Professional Pet Dog Trainer. She has extensive sheltering experience, most recently she was the Manager of Animal Behavior and Training at the Houston SPCA where she evaluated and worked with all varieties of critters, generally working to promote humane treatment of all animals entering the shelter system. She has also been part of the start-up for two high-end boarding/training facilities. Elise is a guest lecturer for conferences and universities and writes an expert blog of pet behavior.
