Beginning in 2005, Jennifer mentored under a well recognized local trainer for nine months. She then went on to complete an instructor apprenticeship program with a positive-reinforcement-based training facility in Tacoma where she passed a written and practical exam. Jennifer also managed a premier dog training facility in Sumner, Washington 2012-2015. Jennifer constantly strives to refine and improve her training methods and behavior knowledge by attending seminars and workshops, working with recognized trainers and reading respected literature. In the last three years, Jennifer accumulated 200 hours of continuing education through live seminars and workshops.

Training Philosophy: Positive Reinforcement and I follow the Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive (LIMA) approach to behavior modification and training.

In the last three years, Jennifer accumulated 200 hours of continuing education through live seminars and workshops covering important topics such as: Canine behavior concerns, Behavior modification protocols, Canine cognition, Animal Learning Science & Application, Canine Ethology. Jennifer is a Full Member Dog Trainer of the Pet Professional Guild (PPG) whose application was accepted through peer review; a Supporting Member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC); a professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT). Jennifer and her husband, Ken, are currently active hiking and having fun with their 5-year-old Doberman pup, Marvel.
